Treehouse Lounge is a good spot to catch up with friends in a restaurant/lounge environment. Look out for the specials cause they are great value.

Day before Anzac day so gotta make use of the public holiday. I mistakenly thought Treehouse Lounge changed management over the past few months but in actual fact, the same guys have been running it since late 2010. Anyway, I’ve been looking forward to checking it out. I’m expecting more of a bar/lounge at Treehouse Lounge and upon entering, stupidly ask “where’s the bar”… What you see is what you get. It’s more of a restraurant/lounge with tables set out for dinner and the odd couch every now and then. We’re looking for food anyway so its not too bad.

Treehouse Lounge has afterwork happy hour drinks specials from 5-7pm and a “Sunday Sippers” Sunday arvo session with a DJ. Doesn’t sound too bad if you live around the area. It’s a spot to catch up with friends over a drink and a bit of food.

Given that Treehouse Lounge is more a restaurant rather than a bar I wasn’t quite sure I’d write a review. But the $10 pizza specials on Tuesday nights are definitely worth a look. Any pizza on the menu for $10 compared to normal prices of around $15 to $19. Quite enjoyed the pizza actually. Orange juice (just the standard concentrate stuff) for $4… yes its an alcohol free month. Also reasonably priced tapas which is worth a look.

Cocktails are roughly $16 to $18. And there are pretty good. Worth the money. Tiger beer on tap for $5 a pot and $8 a schooner.

Not too much else to report but wouldn’t be too bad for a drink with work colleagues after work or to drop by for a Sunday session with friends.
